Graduate Student

I am a graduate student at the Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences (EAPS) department. Prior to MIT, I received a BS in Geophysics and worked as an exploration geophysicist in the oil & gas industry for five years.

My research is largely related to Geomechanics and Induced Seismicity, with a focus in numerical models. During my PhD, I have also worked in Geophysical problems related to wave propagation in heterogenous media and rock physics applications for shale gas exploration.

In a broad sense, my research areas spans:

• Crustal Deformation and Slow Slip Earthquakes

• Induced Seismicity

• Multiphase Flow in Porous and Fractured Media

• Scattering of Seismic Waves in Heterogeneous Media
