I was until recently the Leader of the Analytics Group at Quantum Reservoir Impact (QRI), a leading consulting firm in the oil and gas industry. In this position I managed the development and application of new quantitative techniques for reservoir management. Together with my team I built superfast analytical methods for reservoir diagnostics and I implemented innovative reservoir solutions using data mining/ machine learning techniques. I also designed novel workflows for superfast evaluations of large portfolios of oil and gas fields that brought together both engineering and economic models. At QRI I was previously the Associate Leader of the Innovation team and, before that, a Senior Reservoir Engineer working on international engineering projects. Before QRI I was a Reservoir Engineer with Shell International Exploration and Production (R&D department) where I worked on novel analytical methods for smart reservoir management. Over my career I have worked effectively on numerous multidisciplinary/multinational teams of engineers where I have learnt the true value of team work, effective communication and timely project execution. In my current position at the MIT I want to combine that experience with cutting-edge mathematical techniques to crack the complex problem of coupling multiphase flow and geomechanics to model earthquake triggering.
