I was a member of the Juanes Research Group from September 2006 until February 2012, when I earned my PhD from the [[http://meche.mit.edu/|Department of Mechanical Engineering|title="MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering"]]. The focus of my research was on the fluid mechanics of geological carbon dioxide (CO2) storage. Specifically, I used theoretical models and simple experiments to study the subsurface migration and trapping of the buoyant CO2 after injection.
